Equilibrium Asset Management is the award winning Chartered wealth management company that offers a genuinely personalised financial and investment management service. We are currently looking for an Events Coordinator to join our team of marketers.
The ideal candidate will take over the management of an existing events calendar which caters to a number of different marketing needs for the company.
You will already have experience of organising events such as parties, seminars and conferences either as part of an in-house marketing team or within an events team within the hospitality sector or similar.
We carry out events throughout the year from Investment briefings and seminars to our much loved client Christmas parties all of which need to be well organised to ensure that everything runs smoothly, and reflects our approach to service and quality for our clients and prospective clients alike.
Main Responsibilities
- Venue sourcing and space use (seating/table plans, room arrangements)
- Preparation and sourcing of corporate material for event distribution
- Managing our many events from start to finish in an organised and timely manner
- Agreeing and sourcing menus and catering arrangements
- Sourcing technical material such as mics, monitors, projectors etc.
- Preparation of data capture methods such as feedback forms, pre-event questionnaires etc.
- Scheduling internal staff to support events
- Attending and ensuring the smooth-running of events on the day
- Post-event reporting and identifying business leads to be passed on the correct people
- Continuously assessing the effectiveness of events as a marketing tool
- Occasionally assisting the HR Manager with internal events
- Dealing with supplier contracts and the payment of deposits
- Managing a large budget
Essential Skills
- Must have previous event management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as this will be a client facing role at times
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of event projects
- Well organised with exceptional time management
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure at busy times of the events calendar
- Able to work in a confident, outgoing and friendly manner
- Knowledge of the financial services and investment industries would be an advantage but is not essential
This role will suit someone who is highly organised and who has a passion for events and event management. Seminars in particular are a large part of our marketing calendar and they are much respected within the industry, we require someone who will be able to ensure that the quality and service continues whilst hopefully building on these relationships to take our events to the next level.
