Equilibrium are a Chartered wealth management company based in Handforth Dean, Cheshire. We oversee more than £509 million worth of assets for over 790 clients. We provide a positive and collaborative environment for all team members to ensure we achieve everyone’s full potential.

We believe we offer a slightly different working environment to most IFA’s as we have 6 advisers and over 30 support staff. We have a team of highly qualified client managers (paraplanners) who require an administrator to support their busy workloads. This role would be based within the implementation team which deals with the onboarding process of all new clients. This is a highly skilled area that requires an individual who will be confident in dealing with clients, external suppliers and internal staff.

Within the role you will assist in the administration for a bank of new clients and will be expected to proactively support the planning process for key areas including

  • Tax planning: ISA and pension contributions, CGT planning and tax wrapper selection
  • Estate planning: inheritance tax mitigation and trust planning
  • Asset allocation: review, compare and establish when rebalance is required.
  • Individual fund review: review fund selection & identify fund switches.
  • Ongoing portfolio reviews: review portfolio’s to identify product sales and purchases. Assess tax position and analyse portfolio returns.


You will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with clients managers and product providers
  • Obtaining personalised quotes and product details
  • New business processing and monitoring to include document checking, logging and distribution
  • Maintaining back office systems and client files


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous relevant experience gained within an IFA environment focused on holistic financial planning for private clients encompassing pensions, investment and protection.
  • Working knowledge of the main protection, pension and investment financial planning products
  • Friendly and approachable personality
  • Accuracy, precision and high attention to detail
  • Professional and ethical approach
  • The ability to manage time and organise effectively
  • The ability to work on own initiative
  • A good level of IT literacy
  • Excellent people, interpersonal and listening skills
