Tell us a memory of when you first joined Equilibrium.
When I joined Equilibrium there was no real goal tracking, financial reporting or plan for the future. I saw the huge potential of the business and I felt it was important to put a robust strategy in place with clear objectives so we could track and monitor our progress.
What has been the biggest change since you joined?
The structure and the team. Things are more organised, we have developed teams, have put into place recruitment strategies and improved our communication to let everyone know what’s going on. We have also now have a marketing plan, structure and team.
What do you think has been your greatest success?
Again, I would have to say the structure and the team! There is definitely a more cohesive plan about how we do things, how things are related and everyone takes ownership of our shared goals (along with the tracking of them).
What has been your biggest personal challenge?
Time. Having enough time to push things forward and to spend time with the team so that they can take on more responsibility.
What is your best memory from your time at EQ?
The first year we created a target and surpassed it. There was a real sense of achievement across the team.
We also introduced team surveys to be able to continually learn from everyone in the business. In the second year we did the survey all of the scores had gone up. People were a lot happier.
What do you hope to achieve in the coming year?
To firmly establish the new team structure and to continue reporting effectively on all of our goals.
I also really want us to hit our growth targets and maintain our great retention rate for both staff and clients.
